How have you been? I know it has been a week since I last checked in. I wrote a post the other day (Monday?) and some how managed to delete it right before I was going to publish it so I never went back to re-type and have since forgot about it.
I had a crazy week with school again, but only 11 days until I go home and begin my student teaching – yeah!!! Lots of group assignments, lesson plans, unit plans, exams blah blah blah due so it has been keeping me from you grand ol’ people <–and now I’m rambling.
This week in workouts…
Had a good week for workouts! I got in 6 full workouts which included running 11.5 miles, which is the highest I have run in a loooong time. My legs are sore and achy so I am going to messege them out tonight and not run until Tuesday this week.
This week in eats…
Not a horrible week (from what I can remember) but not great for dinners. Tonight I had oatmeal for dinner, and Friday I remember having an egg + turkey bacon english muffin sanny, yumm!! Not too worried about this, but I just have to keep pumping the veggies in, and an easy way to do this is through proper dinners.
Now lets plan for next week!
M-40 min XT + weights circuit
T-20 min HIIT
W-40 min XT + weights circuit
Th-3.25 mile run
F-40 min XT + weights circuit
Sa-4.5 mile run
Did you go out for Halloween this weekend?
– I did not, too much school, not enough motivation to go out. lame I know
Workout: 3.1 mile run (32:19), 1.19 mile walk
Well I got a run in today but it was not my best run. My legs felt tired and heavy, I got really hot and it was just blah. I took a walk break (about 4-5 min at mile 2.25 because I was dying. In hindsight I could have and should have pushed through. At least I got a run in, even if it was only 5km.
On Sundays I like to plan my workouts, dinners, and set a few goals for the week. I do this to help me keep on track.
Monday: Weights + 40 min Cross-training
Tuesday: 2 mile run @ 10min/mile pace
Wednesday: Weights + 40 min Cross-training
Thursday: 3 mile run
Friday: Weight + 40 min Cross-training
Saturday: 4 mile run
Monday: Quanoa with veggies
Tuesday: Chicken & Sweet Potato Fries
Wednesday: Quanoa with veggies
Friday: Pasta with Meat Balls
Saturday: Pizza + Salad
Sunday: Soup + Veggies
– Eat more veggies. I have been slacking a lot with my veggie intake and it is something I really need to work on!
– Get my school work done
– A few little tasks at school (sell texts books, pick up papers etc.)
– Cut back on the sugar
– Update my iPod, I NEED some new workout tunes ASAP
– Remember my long term goals
Well, I am off to watch Drop Dead Diva, read the Hunger Games, call my Ma and pack my bag for Grade 3 tomorrow.
Have a good night! xo
This is what you often hear at the beginning of a race. Not a blog post.
Well, here I am writing my first post for this blog, Run Eat Teach. I guess I should explain the title, although I bet you can guess.
Simply put, I love to run. No it is not easy for me, and no I am not fast but it is something I really enjoy doing (most days). I have run four 5km races, and one 6km Obstacle Mud Race. So much fun. Running goals include a 10k and half-marathon, but I’ll get more into that in the near future, not to worry.
Well, I love to eat. A little too much sometimes. Chocolate is my poison of choice. LOVE ITTTTT!!!
I am currently in teachers college to get my degree in education to teach children grades K-6. I am very excited about this!! Teaching has been in my blood since I emerged from the womb.
So in a whole this blog is going to focus on running (mainly), eating, and a little bit of teaching, along with a whole bunch of other randomness!!
I am still trying to figure out WordPress, and I want to get rid of that red strip in the middle but I don’t know if this will be possible. I am not very teck savy, so this blog is going to be a work in progress.
Thanks for stopping by, I am off to try and get that red strip off my page.
